He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Ranaghan and Carmela Ranaghan. He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Eric (Andrea), Janice, Mark (Caren) and Neil (Jacqueline); his grandchildren, Emily, Elizabeth, Christopher, Nicholas, Katie and Abigail; and his siblings, Kenneth and Linda Mae (Zebrowski).

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Queens Funeral Home (8734 80th St, Woodhaven, NY 11421). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Saint Thomas the Apostle Church (87-19 88th Ave, Jamaica, NY 11421).

Funeral mass will be Thursday November 13, 2025 at 10:30am, In Lieu of Flowers the family asks donations be made to: Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100.
