He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigurd Torkelsen and Margaret Torkelsen (Rasmussen); his wife Patricia Torkelsen (Sullivan); and his siblings, Stanley Torkelsen, Gunda "Jean" Danielson and Helene Didden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Tanya Carr (Michael) of Kingston and Kristen Torkelsen of Rochester; and his granddaughter Peighton Torkelsen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
