He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Greaves II and Helen Spain Greaves; and his sister Nancy Abatto (Daniel). He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his daughter Dr. Kerry Greaves of Copenhagen, Denmark; his grandson Rune Greaves of Copenhagen; his son John William Greaves IV of Queensbury, NY; and his sister Susan Haight (Russell). He is also survived by numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the St. Jude the Apostle Church (43 Brookside Ave, Wynantskill, NY 12198). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Monday, November 17th 2025 at 12:30 PM at 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
