He was predeceased by: his father Sergio Lovera. He is survived by: his mother Elodia Lovera; his wife Maria Lovera; his children, Nicholas and Giovanna (Joshua Stringer); his brother Sergio (Rosanne); his mother-in-law Celeste Santoiemma; and his son-in-law Joshua Stringer. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

His commitment to serving and protecting the community was unwavering, and his contributions to law enforcement were invaluable.
