He was predeceased by: his wife Carol A. Messar (O'Rourke). He is survived by: his sons, Francis J. Messar III (Cathy) of Maywood, NJ and Michael B. Messar Capt (Anna); his grandchildren, Daniel, Brian, Meghan and Brendan; his sisters, Charleen Messar-Lipski (Walter) and Cathy Nappi; his close friend Nancy Scovotti; and his family Frank. He is also survived by nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A wake was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Whalen and Ball Funeral Home (168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Monastery Church (110 Shonnard Pl, Yonkers, NY 10703).
