He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Eileen O'Keeffe; his siblings, Nora, Liam, Donie, Batt, Tadhgie and Paudie; his children, Daniel (Denise), Geffrey (Mary), Denis (Maria), Christopher (Melissa), Veronica (Michael) and Helena (Luis); his grandchildren, Catherine, Danielle, Liam, Kerilyn, Jessica, Geffrey, Michael, Kevin, Kyle of Olivia, CJ, Brandon, Leah, Vanessa, Sofia, Daniel, Milena, Cameron and Camila; and his great grandchildren, Jade and Winifred.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home (899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (E. 241st Street & Martha Avenue, Bronx, NY 10704). A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aisling Irish Community Center (https://aislingcenter.org), an organization that brought Geffrey much joy and companionship in his later years.
