Jackie was a wonderful person and an amazing nurse who helped everyone at Harlem's Family Care Center, staff and patients alike, stay grounded in the task of learning to live while facing a very serious disease. She could be gentle, loving, kind, firm, and fierce, all in the same conversation. She did not give her respect automatically; you had to earn it. But once she knew you were trying to do the right thing for the kids she loved so dearly, she gave you her full support. She touched many lives and will be so missed. To her children especially, remember that she will never be far from you. Wishing you comfort and peace, Carol Worrell, M.D.”
