It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan M. Portanova (Yonkers, New York), who passed away on December 13, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley O'Donnell-Ringler and Gertrude O'Donnell-Ringler; her husband Alfred Portanova; her son James Troccoli; and her siblings, Gertrude Massimi, Doris Heady and Stanley Ringler.
She is survived by: her sons, Ralph Troccoli and Robert Troccoli; her grandchildren, Kristi Alfaro (David), Robert Troccoli (Maria) and Nicolette Rappoccio (Anthony); and her great grandchildren, Chase, Cooper Alfaro, Theo Troccoli and Anthony Rappoccio.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sinatra Memorial Home, Inc. (499 Yonkers Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Church (10 Squire Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703). A burial will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. Hope Cemetery (50 Jackson Ave, Saw Mill River Rd, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY 10706).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Joan's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
