He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Barrett and Alfred A. McGarraghy; his brothers, Alfred and William; his brothers-in-law, Donald Eirich, Joseph Beyda and Robert Schmidt; and his friend Jessica Flores.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Taylor; his stepson Jeffrey Galli (Jenna); his sisters, Mary Catherine Beyda, Elizabeth Eirich, Patricia Bowman (Thomas) and Eileen Mann (Richard); and his sisters-in-law, Joanne McGarraghy, Charlotte Schmidt, Barbara Schmidt and Maureen Hanna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will deeply miss their Uncle.
He was admired and respected for his contributions to the field of higher education and influenced and improved many lives along the way.
