He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Whelan and Joseph Whelan; and his father-in-law Patrick Donnelly. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Sean and Mary Bridget; his siblings, Bart, Margaret, Helen, Pauline and Siobhan; and his mother-in-law Mary Donnelly. He is also survived by his siblings-in-law, and his many nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbors, and friends.
