He was predeceased by: his parents, John "Jack" Kivel and Florence Kivel (Nolan). He is survived by: his wife Marguerite Kivel; his children, John Kivel (Laurie) of Chicopee, Massachusetts, Keith Kivel (Denise) of Rye and Nicole Kivel (England) of London; and his brother Thomas Kivel.
A wake was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home (168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (110 Shonnard Pl, Yonkers, NY 10703).
