He was predeceased by: his wife Yolanda Borges; his parents, Delia Fernandez and Lucas Miguel Borges; and his siblings, Edis and Maria (Cusa).

He is survived by: his children, Lucas Daniel Borges (Rosemary) and Yolanda Cristina Borges; his grandchildren, Lucas Jose (Belinda), Christina, Daniella (Kevin), Gabriella, Dylan and Thomas; and his siblings, Hugo, Aurora and Manuel. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
