She was predeceased by: her parents, James Smith and Mary Smith; her husband Edward; her daughter Patricia O'Donnell; and her siblings, Eleanor Smith, Margaret Malloy and James M. Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Edward Jr. Shortly (Ann Marie), Kevin (Joanne), Brian Flynn (Mary) and Julie Fitzpatrick (Timothy); her grandchildren, Shannon, Colin, Brendan (Kathryn), Kelly (Mark O'Connor), Siobhan (Charles Dann), Timothy Jr., Emma (Daniel Meehan), Sean, Joseph, Leighanne, Erin and Liam (Meghan); and her great grandchild Ella.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home (168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (110 Shonnard Pl, Yonkers, NY 10703).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Sacred Heart Church in Yonkers, New York, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
