It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maurice Downing (Yonkers, New York), who passed away on October 14, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his daughters, AnneMarie Palmer (Vincent), Ellen, Susan Healy (Gary) and Elizabeth McKeon (Paul); and his great grandchildren, Luke, Scarlett Kosta and Hudson Palmer.

Visitors will be cycled through while practicing social distancing so that all may have the chance to pay their respects.

“I am Peggy Hourihan born in O'Connor's Shop Bonane, now live in Belvidere. NJ. Hoping to go to Church service in the morning . I remember the Downey's we called them. Con and Christy and Maurice . Maurice taught my Mom Margaret how to drive , a big deal at anytime , but in those days a bigger feat . She loved to take trips to Kenmare for bread or just to get away from all her 8 children for a break ! We played cards with Christy he visited every night . They were great neighbors.”
