It is with sadness that the passing of Peter A. McGeough Sr. (Yonkers, New York) is shared. Peter, born on June 11, 1935, passed away on September 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Kevin and Eamon; his son-in-law Robert Byrnes; and his parents, Edward McGeough and Catherine McGeough.
He is survived by: his wife Agnes; his children, Patricia (Stephen), Agnes (Paul), Peter Jr., Kathleen (Jimmy), Susan (Gerry), Sheila and Maryann; his grandchildren, James (Shannon), Matthew, Julianna, Brendan, Emma, Caroline, Gerard, Rebecca and Ronan; his great grandchildren, Cillian, James and Eamon; and his siblings, Desmond, Cornelius, Angela and Evelyn. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hodder Farenga Funeral Home (899 McLean Ave, Yonkers, NY 10704). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:45 AM at the St. Barnabas Church (E. 241st Street & Martha Avenue, Bronx, NY 10704). A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
