She was predeceased by: her sons, Ruperto Velez (Tito), Marcelino Velez (Johnny) and Jose Velez (Chevy). She is survived by: her children, Geordy Velez, Iriedza Rodriguez (Betty), Ramon, Jeordinan Mercado (Peter) and Leray; her grandchildren, Juan, Jenniffer Velez, Gabriel, Jovany Rodriguez, Donovan, Samuel and Marliena Mercado; her daughter-in-law Gladys Almodovar; her sister Gloria (Eddie); her niece Marisol Hernandez; her nephew Albert Mercado; her close friend Jose Gonzalez; Jose Gonzalez-Quinoñes. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
