He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Michael (Elaine), Kevin and Mary Hirschboeck (John); his siblings' children, Meghan Smith, Brandon Prendergast, Kate Nealon Hirschboeck and Mark Hirschboeck; and his parents, Michael Prendergast and Maria Prendergast.
He became an expert in both, generously donating his freshly caught striped bass and fluke to the neighborhood, and imparting his deep knowledge of Irish and family history with loved ones.
