With sadness, we share the passing of Nelda J. (Aubin) Cheney of York, New York. Nelda, born on August 25, 1931, passed away on September 20, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alphonse Aubin and Pearl Aubin (Bullock); her spouse Merritt E. Cheney; her daughter Andrea Blauvelt; her siblings, Ronald Aubin (Shirley), Carolyn Walker (John "Jack") and Rosalie Blanchard; her sister-in-law Lorraine Aubin; and her daughter-in-law Kim Cheney.
She is survived by: her sons, Gerard Cheney of Little Falls, NY and Elden Cheney (Belinda) of Oppenheim, NY; her siblings, Randa Davis (Cliff) and Leo Aubin of Stratford, NY; and her granddaughters, Renee, Susan, Jessica, Adrien and Victoria. She is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Miller-Plonka Funeral Home (30 Wolf St, Dolgeville, NY 13329). A committal service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
