He was predeceased by: his wife Rosalie Premuroso; and his sister Margaret Ann Figurelli. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Stigell; his son-in-law Theodore Stigell; his grandchildren, Andrew, Dylan and Caroline Stigell; and his sister Patricia Carol. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Yorktown Funeral Home (945 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588). A Mass was held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (1377 E Main St, Shrub Oak, NY 10588).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.

Stephen Altieri wrote a sympathy message

“To the Premuroso Family I was deeply saddened to hear about Bill's passing. As the former Town Administrator of Mamaroneck I had the privilege of working with Bill both when he served as a lieutenant in the TMFD and as president of the union. While Bill and I did not always see eye to eye on every issue, his integrity and honesty always guided us toward finding a solution. He will be greatly missed.
