She was predeceased by: her parents, David Bowley and Elsie Bowley (Mahle); her husband Richard Shear; and her siblings, Wayne "Bud" Bowley, Ada Metzger, Ruth Matteson and Mary Whitmer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carol Young of Kingsport, TN, Janet Milliken of Niagara Falls, NY and Susan Yuroshoski, Sr. (Frank) of Niagara Falls, NY; and her sister Gladys Ingersoll. She is also survived by grandchildren; twelve adored great‑grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Evelyn's honor to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094, or to the Lutheran Church of the Messiah.
