With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Herbert C. Wendt Jr. of Youngstown, New York, born in Niagara Falls, New York, who passed away on October 7, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert C. Wendt, and Alice [Levec] Wendt, Sr.; and his brothers, Kenneth (Ruth) and Robert Wendt (Flo). He is survived by: his wife Ellen T. [Brunner] Wendt; his children, Linda Palmieri (late Keith), Thomas Wendt (Tina), Jean Burda (Robert), Patty Anderson (Ken), Paul Wendt and Joellen Mearbell (Kevin); his grandchildren, Amy Bos (James), Tom Wendt (Niki), Ryan Wendt, Morgan Bonilla (Levi), Corinne Burda, Lindsay Wojcik, Nicholas Burda and Johnathan Wendt; his great grandchildren, Leah, Emily Bos and Max Bonilla; and his brothers-in-law, George (Leta) and Dan Brunner (Elaine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in his name to St. Bernard's Church or the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company.
