He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew S. Janik and Freida Janik (Szlichcinska); his wife Suzanne R. "Sue" Janik (Burt); and his sibling Thomas Janik (Renee). He is survived by: his children, Laura Janik (Amanda) and Matthew Janik; his grandchildren, Quinn and Claire; his mother-in-law Caroline Knight (late Ward); and his siblings, Edward Janik (Kathy), Kevin Janik (Ann), Mary Jo Tartaglia (Thomas), Cheryl Janik, Kathy DuBois (Curt), Laurie Jacklin (Terry) and David Tighe (Lisa).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Inc. (901 Cayuga St, Lewiston, NY 14092-1734). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital.
