He is survived by: his mother Sophie Hellinga (Vonk); his wife Carmen (Sankey); his daughters, Sonja Hellinga, Vanessa Kitai (Stefan) and Jacqueline Hellinga (Marc Borchet); his granddaughter Katarina; his siblings, David Hellinga (Kelly), Audrey VanderVeen (Ronald), Yvonne Aikema (John), Bruce Hellinga and Barbara Hellinga; and his sister-in-law Charlene Prins (Gary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
