We are sad to announce that on August 10, 2025, Sami Raphael of Youngstown, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Abdelsaid Raphael and Aziza Raphael (Bougdady); and his siblings, Angel Behsay and Said Raphael. He is survived by: his spouse Souzy Raphael (Gadelrab); his children, Anne Rychlik (Joseph), Peter-Mark Raphael and Julie Ashak (Fawzy); his grandchildren, Avery Rychlik, Luke Rychlik, Christpher Ashak, Johnathan Ashak and David Ashak; his siblings, Yvonne Naus and Samir Raphael; his sisters-in-law, Geihan and Iman Gadelrab (late Emad); and his parents-in-law, Victoria Hennes and Shawky Gadelrab. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial offerings in Dr. Raphael's name may be made to Saint Mary & Saint Moses Coptic Orthodox Church.

“Dr Raphael was my incredible doctor from when he had his office on Portage and Ferry, until he was working at St Mary's primary group. He supported me through so many things, including mending my back from a car crash, losing my fiancé' Bruce, and all my marathon running. His bright smile and friendly way of being when he opened the door to say "Hi there Miss Healthy!" made me look forward to my annual visits and I even sent thank you cards for being so positive and helpful to me. A great man.”
