He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Hoyt and Catherine Imogene Bass (Shrider); his son Roger Bass; and his grandson Ian Bass. He is survived by: his sons, Bob Bass (Elaine) of Ada and Bill Bass (Beth Ann) of Ada; his grandchildren, Aaron Bass, Hannah McCullough (Nathan), Trent Bass (Morgan), Dalton Bass (Kendra) and Levi Bass (Tori); his great grandchildren, Brantley, Brooklyn, Blaine, Ansley, Aubrey and Will; and his sister Janice Shannon of South Carolina.
