He was predeceased by: his daughter Paula Bennington. He is survived by: his wife Helen "Rose" Atkins; his sister Cleona Wickman; his brother-in-law Ray Sexton; his sons, Rick Atkins (Maureen) and Jimmy Atkins; his stepchildren, Eric Thien (Michele), Gary Thien, Troy Thien (Tricia Rist) and Tasha Thompson (Tom); his grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Patrick, Becky, Ann, Amanda, Erica, Haley, Ciarrah, Kylie, Dominic and Ellie; and also, William Atkins Sr. (Virginia), Annabel Benter (Jack), Robert Atkins Sr. (Catherine), Gloria Shinkle (Buddy), Dutch Wickman and Edna Sexton.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Addyston Baptist Church (112 Church St, Addyston, OH 45001). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
