He is survived by: his spouse Michele Mettler; his children, Nate Mettler (Mikaela), Taylor Robers (Tyler) and Jacob Mettler (Gracie); his grandchildren, Maddox, Wade, James and Whitley; his father Duke Russell Mettler; his siblings, Beth Downs (Terry) and Greggory Mettler (Heather); his mother-in-law Sharon Shewalter; and his sister-in-law Benita Burton (Dan).

A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint John's Catholic Church (351 N Market St, Logan, OH 43138). Their dedication allowed the family to create many special memories that they would have otherwise lost, particularly in light of the challenges faced during Covid in 2021.
