She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Parks and Enola Parks (Burdette); her son Robby Parks; and her aunts and uncles, Grace Burdette Doss, Mary Burdette Mabry, Bullah Burdette Monroe, James and Roy Burdette.

She is survived by: her sons, Andrew Thompkins of Florida and Scott Thompkins of Missouri; her grandchildren, Drew Thompkins, Aaron Thompkins, John Thompkins, Melissa Thompkins and Caleb Thompkins; her great grandchildren, Emilia and Braylon; her sister Janet Wilham (Don) of Hillsboro; her niece Jennifer Beatty of Englewood; and her nephew David Skidmore (Kelly) of Waynesville.

Her next career was as a caring nurse aide at Green Oaks Nursing Home in Xenia where she worked in the Alzheimer's Unit.
