It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Lee Franklin (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alma Lee Franklin to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gooden and Minnie Gooden (Shores); and her brother Charles James Gooden. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Franklin; her children, Mark Franklin (Tonia) and Tracey Griggs (Rodney); her sisters, Ethel "Jeanette" Smith and Sandra Radcliff (Lafayette); her grandchildren, Briannah Black (Bryon II), Marlena Starks (Johnathon), Moriah Griggs, Mark Franklin II, Savannah Griggs and McKenzie Franklin; her great grandchildren, Elijah, Ezra and Paxton; and her close friend Mary Stanley. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the First Apostolic Faith Church (790 Easter Ave, Akron, OH 44307).
