It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew R. Maxwell (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Maxwell and Anna Maxwell; his foster parents, Joseph Colant and Margaret Colant; and his siblings, Dorothy Badgett, Tom Maxwell, James Colant, Peggy Wichman and Patty Scarpelli.
He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Maxwell (Donna), Gerard Colant (Jo), Chris Colant (Marcia) and Helen Rothberg (Michael); his nephew Rick Badgett (Tracy); and his close friend Dean Fygetakes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church (1800 Steese Rd, Uniontown, OH 44685). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at the Holy Cross Cemetery East Waterloo (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
