He was predeceased by: his brothers, Rodger Edward Carr and Daniel Glenn Carr. He is survived by: his wife Wendy Woodland-Carr; his son Alexander Carr (Robyn Carr); his grandchildren, Crystal Massey, Typanga Cox, Sarah Leonhardt, Miles Leonhardt, Joczlynn Nerdin and Talyn Carr; his daughter Elizabeth McGruder; his grandchildren, Nathan Chatman, Jr., Jalen McGruder, Jeremiah McGruder, Keston McGruder and Niyah McGruder; and his siblings, Patricia Filipowicz, Gregory Carr (Hannah) and Pearl Kashasha (David).
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home (547 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312). Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
