She was predeceased by: her father Marvin Smith (Jimmy); her son Terry Danzy Jr.; her mother-in-law Sarah Danzy; her grandparents, James and Minnie Gooden; her aunt Alma Franklin; and her uncle Charles James Gooden.

She is survived by: her nephew Evan Brown; her husband Terry Danzy; her children, Terrell, Treymaine (Katie) and Jaslyn Smith; her siblings, Sherron Solomon, Lynda Smith and Erik Culbreath (Detra); her mother Ethel "Jeanette" Smith (Jeanette Gooden); her aunt Sandra Radcliff (Lafayette); her grandchildren, Noah, Kaleb and Gianna; her cousins, Priscilla Downs, Gloria Garden, Sheila Ross, Marcia Warren and Karen Watson; her sisters, Tracey Griggs and Barbara Williams (Bobbie); and her adoptive daughter Anna Johnson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the First Apostolic Faith Church (790 Easter Ave, Akron, OH 44307).
