He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl VanHorn and Sadie VanHorn; his wife Doris; and his siblings, George and Beverly.
He is survived by: his children, David VanHorn (Jennifer) and Diane McFarland (Bill); his sister Sally Prease; his grandchildren, Stefanie Bonvenuto (Adam), Stacey Baker (Aaron), Michael Klosterman (Emily) and Ryan VanHorn; and his great grandchildren, Drew, Lexi, Macauley, Lachlan, Oliver, Elias, Ezra, Ari and Lola. He is also survived by extended family, neighbors, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Springfield Church of the Brethren.
