She is survived by: her son Jerome Darnell Hooks; her siblings, Betty Jean Price, Robert Hooks Jr. and Julia Mae Hooks; her nieces, Dionne Hooks and Shiloh Hooks Johnson; her great-nephew Hezekiah Johnson; her aunt Materia Fuller Hope of Gary Indiana; her cousins, Rosalind Brooks (Wilbert) and Marilyn Parker of Birmingham, Alabama; and her close friends, Richard, Renee Humphrey, Dwain Poteete and Townsend.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rhoden Memorial (1101 Palmetto Ave, Akron, OH 44306). A celebration of life was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at the Mt. Peace Cemetery (183 Aqueduct St, Akron, OH 44303).
