With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel Matusicky of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Phyllis; his children, Theresa (Pete), Daniel (Karen) and Stephen (Ana); his grandchildren, Stephen (Terry), Daniel (Missy), Sarah (Zak), Maria (Christopher), Gabby, Jesse, Isabella and Nathan; and his great grandchildren, Vincent and Anneliese.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Paul Catholic Church (1580 Brown St, Akron, OH 44301). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319). A reception will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or the Justin T. Rodgers Hospice Care Center.
