He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph C. Swartz and Josephine Rae Pickle. He is survived by: his sister Judy Hinkle (Richard); his niece Jennifer Hinkle Shah; his nephew Timothy Hinkle (April); and his great-nieces, Olivia, Madeline Shah, Allison and Audrey Hinkle.
