David R. Zimmerman Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of David R. Zimmerman of Akron, Ohio, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 65. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David R. Zimmerman to pay them a last tribute.
Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Zimmerman and Norma Zimmerman (Lowman). He is survived by: his husband Brett Stair Zimmerman; his son Ethan Zimmerman of Akron; and his siblings, Michael Zimmerman of Kent and Linda Hodges of Suffield. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
