She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Louise Buchanan of Grand Rapids; her daughter Jasmine Hooks of Akron, Ohio; her father Robert "Paul" Lee Hooks, Sr. of Albany; and her siblings, Robert Lee Hooks Jr. (Albany), Julia Fain of Akron, Dorothy Hooks (Annie) of Akron, Mary Louise Hooks (Nooise) of Akron and Irene Marion of Akron.
She is survived by: her children, Jamar Hooks, Sr. (Leticia) of Akron, Ohio, Camilla Martin of Akron, Ohio, Kisa Hooks (Quincy) of Akron, Ohio, Ebony Kidd (LeAndre) of Akron, Ohio, Nykya Smith of Akron, Ohio and Rhiajanee Hooks of Akron, Ohio; her siblings, Priscilla Pearson of Grand Rapids, Brenda Lee Hooks of Albany, Roslyn Pearson of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Harold Pearson of Grand Rapids and James Henry Hooks Sr. of Akron; and her close friends, Anthony Kidd and Cecelia Cheatham. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins.
