He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Katona and Helen Katona; his sister Elaine Hayes (Harold); his niece Diana Thomas (Allan); and his close friend Dotty.
He is survived by: his nieces, Laura Lamtman (Garry) and Roberta Dean; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brandy Gobrogge (Ben), Angel Thomas, Jamie Lamtman, Cory Dean, Allan Thomas, Clay Thomas and Paige Lamtman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Dunn-Quigely Funeral Home (811 Grant St, Akron, OH 44311). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
