She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Gaines and Flossie Gaines; her granddaughter Ayanna Lee; her siblings, Mary Helen Pou, Eva Mae Dorman, Betty Jean Jenkins, Ernest Gaines, Leonard Gaines, Arthur Gaines and Andrew McDonald; her brothers-in-law, Joel Pou, Fred Dorman and Bedile Goldsmith; her son-in-law Yusuf Ali; her siblings' children, Cherry Mae Pou, Shadae Dorman, Michelle King, Billy Joe Pou, Linderek Dorman, Leonard Hollis and Eugene Gaines; and her close friend Dimitrias J Miles.
She is survived by: her children, Lea Lee, Lynn Gaines of Georgia and Dimitrias Miles Jr. of Ohio; her sister Delores Goldsmith of Ohio; her grandchildren, Brittany Lunge (Mikey) of Ohio, LaQuette Gaines of Ohio, DeShawn Jones of Ohio, Antwion Brown of Ohio, Brooklyn Miles of Ohio and Nakia Lee (Antewan) of Georgia; her great grandchildren, Jayla, Mya, Aliyya, Robert, Anton, Antonae, Tristian, Sha'Marie, Ka'mari, Kai, Rickyah of Ayanna, Mi, Kayla, King-Kairo, Amaun, Gabriel, Anson, King-Mali'Kai and Charlie-Rose; and her great great grandchild Ra'niyah.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home (529 W Thornton St, Akron, OH 44307).
