He was predeceased by : his wife Delores "Sissy" Porter; his parents, James Porter and Velma Porter; and his siblings, Karen, Becky, Alan, Sarah and Lee Anna.

He is survived by : his children, Trevor J. Porter (Gabriella), Erin E. Porter-Krieg (Kevin), Nathaniel A. Porter and Seth A. Porter; his grandchildren, Alexander Porter, Colin Porter, Cooper Krieg, Kensey Krieg and Rose Porter; and his sister Brenda Russell-Fox. He is also survived by 3 stepchildren.
