George John Andrico Obituary
We announce the death of George John Andrico of Akron, Ohio, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 81. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Andrico and Irene Andrico; and his siblings, Christina "Chris" Christoulias, Kalliope "Kal" Nicols, Despina "Des" Mermigas, Theofane Crow, Helen Pamboukis, Theodore "Ted" Andrico and Trifon "John" Andrico.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet "Hedy"; his daughter Katherine "Kathy"; his sister Demetra "Dee" Mollis; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy "Jan" Andrico, Verne DeVenny, Cathy Farmakidis (Sam) and Doris "Dorrie" Bloom. He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 5:30 PM and on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery (10175 Rawiga Rd, Seville, OH 44273).
George was always upset to see homeless or mistreated animals, so in lieu of flowers, please donate to Humane Society of Summit County, or your local animal shelter.
