We announce the death of Geraldine Hanna (Akron, Ohio), who passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 99. Geraldine will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Samples and May Samples (Haught); her husband Tom; her brothers, Bill (Audrey) and Jack Samples (Monteen); and her nephews, Ray and Rick Samples.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Duhon (Mark) and Jim Hanna (Suzi); her grandchildren, Ben, Erin Lohrum, Drew Lohrum, Joe Spino, Megan, Vince Tilenni, Krissa and Kyle Reilly; and her great grandchildren, Jacob, Jensen, Jemma, Jenika Lohrum, Vincent, Isabella Tilenni and Declan Reilly. She is also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wedgewood United Methodist Church, 2350 Wedgewood Drive, Akron, OH 44312 in memory of Gerry.
