He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oscar Wepfer and Edna Martha Leona Wepfer (Guhl); his wife Virginia May Schwartz; his siblings, Bernice Wittig (Wepfer) and Russell Wepfer; and his grandson Brandon Watts.
He is survived by: his children, Gretchen Sandridge (Steve), William (Fran), Robert, Mary Ann Watts (Allen Loew) and Brenda Pongracz (Andrew); his grandchildren, Colleen and Beryl Sandridge; and his children, Alexander, Christopher Pongracz, Joshua Buchta, Elizabeth Russo (Buchta), Grace Buchta and Lily Wepfer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home (3653 W Market St, Akron, OH 44333). A reception will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Air Force Assistance Fund or Scouting America.
