He was predeceased by: his parents, Karlis Dedzins and Anna Dedzins. He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Cynthia Simmons (Terry) and Richard Dedzins (Wendy); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Marianne Simmons (Paul Harper), Krista Gindlesberger (Sam) and Sarah Dedzins.
