He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Speck and Irene Speck; his wife Marie; his children, James Jr. and Tonia; and his brothers, Francis and Phillip.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Martin, Mike Martin, Denise Trail, Tammy Maximovich, Lynn Arbogast, David Speck, Kiowa Speck, Duane Speck, Melisa Speck and Joseph Speck; and his sisters, Lana Thomas and Carol Skuban. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
