He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Peggy Finney and George Finney; his wife Elaine; his children, Carol Finney, Lori Phelps, Kelli Moore (David) and Robert Finney; and his sister Alice Marie Blitz (Jerry). He was also cherished by nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Donations in Jimmy's honor may be made to the Akron Summit County Public Library LEDS Program, to help share his love of reading far and wide.
