He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kolton and Rose Kolton; his siblings, Francis, Bernard, Mary Agnes, Margaret Ann Pearson, Vivian Swigart and Martha "Cookie" Lipford; his parents-in-law, Johnny and Harriet Franklin; his brothers-in-law, Jimmy and John Franklin; and his nephew Chuckie Kolton.
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary Franklin Kolton; his sons, James L. Kolton II (Jimmy) and Theodore J. Kolton (Teddy); his grandson Anthony M. Kolton (Tony); his daughter-in-law Lisa Bott; his sister Barbara Jean Easterling; his sisters-in-law, Harriet Bowers and Suzanne Seabeck; his nephew-in-law Johnny Franklin; his sibling's children, Judy Kolton Franz and Steve Pearson (Andrea); and his friends, Fred King, Bernie Rach, Deanna and Bella Hodge.
