The passing of Janet Marie Regec of Akron, Ohio leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on October 16, 2025 at the age of 83. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Blackburn and Robert Evans; and her sister Mary Gearheart. She is survived by: her husband Edward; her children, Edward Regec (Deborah), Anthony Regec, Cheryl Eaton (John) and Vincent Regec (Kathy); and her brothers, Jim Evans (Karen) and Bobby Evans (Allison). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:15 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305, USA). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 6:15 PM at the VFW Auxiliary Service. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church (300 E Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH 44310).
Donations may be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice or Blessed Trinity Church in Akron.
