With sadness, we share the passing of Joanne Urbank (Akron, Ohio). Joanne, born on July 11, 1938, passed away on October 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Kohnz and Zelmira Kohnz; her sister Sally Kohnz; and her daughter Jennifer Pierce. She is survived by: her daughters, Katie Urbank and Susie Dempster (David); her grandchildren, Marcus Dempster (Natalie), Maggie Raker (John), Nicholas Pierce (Leann), Michael Pierce and Christopher Pierce; and her great grandchildren, Harper, Steven, Eira and Jude.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church (1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319).
